Flight simulator X what altitude should i fly at depensing on loacation and plane type?
Being a nitpicky person when it comes to proper procedure, iwant to know what altitudes i should fly at depending on the plane type. if im in a single propeller, dual propeller, small jet, commercial jet, etc. how far above the terrain should i fly during VFR flights? if im not in any airspace, because if i am in a type of airspace (charlie, bravo, alpha, etc) do i fly at the ceiling of that airspace? Please help!
This is a very general question and no specific answer can be given.
Normally-aspirated, piston-driven aircraft usually fly below 10,000 feet, although most have service ceilings of around 14-16,000 feet (but they are not pressurized, so pilots need oxygen at that altitude). Turbocharged piston-driven aircraft can fly higher, up to 20,000 feet and beyond, although the problem of oxygen still exists unless the cabin is pressurized. The limitations are roughly the same for both singles and twins.
Jets can fly higher, and must do so in order to get the best fuel economy. This implies full cabin pressurization. Typical altitudes range from 20,000 to 40,000 feet, with a very common range being 30,000-39,000 feet. At lower altitudes, jets use a lot of fuel, and higher altitudes have other drawbacks (regulatory limitations, service ceilings, etc.).
Turboprops can cruise between ordinary prop and jet altitudes, generally.
If you are VFR, you must remain below 18,000 feet unless ATC makes an exception for you (extremely rare). At that altitude and above, it's all IFR.
If your magnetic heading is between 0 and 179, you must fly at odd thousands if IFR, and odd thousands plus 500 if VFR. For other headings, you must fly at even thousands if IFR, and even thousands plus 500 if VFR. The rules get more complicated in the flight levels.

Alpha flight comic book fans please respond?
1 So far whats your thought about the new Omega flight book.
2. Did anyone else read the preive where the guy that kills the orginal alpha flight gets made a member of Omega and gets to were the Gurdian costume if so whats your thoughts on this ?
3. Your thoughts of American chars being part of the team and the fact the new gardian isn't a Canuck ?
1 I've only read the first issue, but it's pretty good so far. The Wrecking Crew is a great first challenge for the new team. Mike Oeming is a great talent, so I'll give him at least 6 issues before I make my decision on whether I'll keep buying it.
2 Yes. Seeing as how the Collective (the guy who killed AF) absorbed the powers of all of the mutants on earth that lost their powers on M day... I'd say he's probably a pretty powerful character. In lots of ways he'll probably be like the Sentry... scared to use his powers, unsure of himself, but a deffinite ass kicker.
3 Arachne & USAgent both defected to Canada during the Civil War. The new Guardian absorbed all that power, so there's probably a few canucks in there somewhere. I always looked at Alpha Flight as the Canadian Avengers. I really don't think they'd kick someone off the team because they weren't Canadian.
