Comic Book Batman How close to the comic book story line are the new batman movies directed by Christopher Nolan?
I'm just curious if Batman Begins and The Dark Knight follow closely to the comic book or not?
Not really. They had some creative freedom. Some parts are very accurate, other parts don't follow the comics at all.
Bruce never trained with Ra's al Ghul before becoming Batman, Ducard was never the real Ra's al Ghul. Rachel Dawes isn't even a character in the comics. Harvey Dent didn't get scarred from some elaborate trap set up by Joker, he had acid thrown in his face by Maroni while persecuting him in the courtroom.

Batman Beyond ("the future of crime-fighting!") got an excellent kickoff in the first few issues of DC's comic series starting in November of 1999. But before those comics appeared, DC issued a "miniseries" that bordered on the craptacular, with six issues published separately from March to August of the same year, and now collected in this trade paperback...
