Comic Book Publisher

Landing a job in the comic book illustration?
How would I go about getting a job as a comic book illustrator... I live in England you see, and I imagine MOST the comic book industries and publishers that I have heard of, are all based in America.
So what Publishers based in England could I show my portfolio to?
If you can, answer as best you can, due to my aweful puncuation when asking questions, you may find it difficult O.O ...
Thankyou, kind regards, Kryotix
Well you've got 2000AD and CLiNT magazine over here in the UK.
2000AD was the place that a lot of now famous British writers and artists started out at.
CLiNT is Mark Millar's own title and was actively seeking new talent a little while ago and might still be looking.
