Comic Book Publishers

I would like to know some publishers for comic books. ?
I am making the books from the twilight series into one comic. I was wondering whether to send it to steophenie meyer for her to look at, or fing some one else. Any ideas?
Actually, I am going to send it to the aurthor first, and see if she like's it, and get her permission. (Sorry I didn't say that first!)
You would most certainly get sued by using the books as the basis for your comic book if you SELL it. You cannot profit from it in the slightest and more than likly with a property as hot as Twilight is at the moment they would still have you shut it down even if you weren't making a dime.
Also it seems Mrs. Meyers has supposedly said she isn't interested in comic versions "What I have heard — like ['Harry Potter' author] J.K. Rowling supposedly did — Stephenie Meyer had it in her deal that there wouldn't be any comics, that that licensing wouldn't be available," speculated Dark Horse Comics senior managing editor Scott Allie"
Hope that helps...

New Comic Book Day 18JUL07
What do copyright laws say about this?
I want to make a fan site regarding a specific genre of comic books. In order to make the site look authentic, I'd like to use images from the books in the site itself.
Though I would be promoting the comic books from which the images came from, I would also be promoting other publishers' comic books as well. I'd also be producing income from advertisements.
Is this just a straight-up-get-permission-first copyright thing or what?
Using those images to promote your site does not fall in the realm of "Fair Use" so get written permission first.
