Comic Books Characters

I want to publish my comic book characters?

I'm only young but I can draw really amazing cartoons, I want to persuade my parents to send them to like Marvel or someone, howdo I persuade them?

Marvel RARELY virtually NEVER buys characters from fans and newbies. They have a legion of talented artists and writers they can have create new characters and new comics for them. Not to mention they seem only interested in printing Wolverine and Spider-man comics.

You could try Image. They work with creator owned characters but unless you are AMAZINGLY talented you are an unknown. I don't want to get your hopes up. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but without seeing your work I have no idea what skills you have.

Try going to a comic convention and talking to some professional artists and writers. See if they think you have a sell-able property.

You may want to try self publishing but whatever you do make sure you protect your copyrights on the characters.

You could try posting some work up on a site like comicspace.com. See what kind of reactions you get there. If you do post a gallery e-mail me. I'd love to see it.
