what comics would you recommend for a 16 year old girl?
i just turned 16 and i wouldnt consider myself a girly girl but im still pretty girly. i read the graphic novel Watchmen and i absolutley loved it. it was the only comic i ever read.
im planning on going to a comic book store this weekend because i want to read more but i dont know what to get.
i was thinking about the daredevil comics because daredevil is my favorite movie but im not sure if ill like the comics.
any suggestions?....
Haha before I read the subtext/explanation I was about to say read Watchmen. Oh well. Daredevil is always interesting.

Who Would Win a Battle Between These Comic Book Characters?
Superman , Spiderman , Batman, DareDevil and Incredible Hulk.
Who would come out top and who would come out worse off?
This is a fun question!
I love the Batman fans who like to pretend the Dark Knight could beat Superman (or even Spiderman, for that reason!). I love Batman! I really do. And you gotta give him credit for even being part of this whole deal, since he's only got his brain, his skill, and some crafty weapons. But that's like asking if a really brilliant 10 year old could win in a fight against Muhammed Ali. Ali would be able to beat the stuffing out of the poor 10 year old. The problem is not just that Superman is practically invincible and could mash Batman's bones into Jell-o if he wanted to, the problem is your assumption that Superman is stupid. He's not. I don't know if he's smarter than Batman - I don't think any comic has touched on that - but we do know he's not just the dumb jock of the group. His brain works plenty well.
I don't know enough about the Daredevil's powers to comment on him, but from what I do know, I imagine if these were one-on-one match-ups in sequence, this would be the results:
Daredevil: gets creamed by everyone. Might have nearly as good reflexes as Spiderman, but no where near the strength. His toughest battle would be with Batman, who is also just a guy, but I think Batman's a little craftier and better equipped. Juuust by a little. This is sort of a toss-up.
Batman: gets creamed by everyone except Daredevil. As mentioned above, I think he'd eke out a win there. HIS tough battle would be with Spiderman. Spidey is way faster and stronger than Batman, but Batman is, again, smart and well-equipped. It wouldn't be easy for Peter to beat him, but I think he would eventually. I won't ignore the possibility that Batman might conceivably come out on top of this one - he's beaten stronger people than himself before! - but I'd say it would be a tough match.
Spiderman - gets creamed by the Hulk and Superman. I mean, he's not even in the same league. As mentioned above, with his Spider-sense, reflexes, speed, strength, and webbing, I think he could take out Daredevil and Batman - although not without breathing hard. But what's he going to do with Supes and the Green guy? Nothing he could do would bother them in the slightest. His "winning the fight" would basically be "not getting smushed" and escaping.
The Hulk - would cream everyone except Superman. The "new" Hulk isn't stupid, either. But he hardly needs his brains, since nothing short of a nuclear blast would faze him. He can absorb all the Batarangs, Spiderwebs, and martial arts combos thrown at him while still napping!
Superman - ends up being the victor. The funny thing about all of this is that these people would never want to fight each other, and Superman the least of all. He's a big boy scout and a pacifist. But if pushed to it, I don't see that anyone has what it takes to beat him (Supes and the Hulk actually fought canonically once, and Supes won). He's faster and stronger than anyone else and more importantly, he's invulnerable to just about everything. Although the Hulk could sure knock him around a bit, he couldn't ever put him down for the count.
Yes, yes, I know - Superman has a weakness. Assuming that all the others had Kryptonite on, they might have a chance (assuming Superman didn't stand far away and blast them with heat vision, chuck mac trucks at them, whiz by at superspeed and knock their heads off, etc). But we're assuming a semi-fair fight here...? Otherwise, Batman and Daredevil's weakness are, I don't know, tactical nuclear missiles. So Supes just chucks a few of those in the vicinity and vaporizes everything (including them). =)

Go 'head, disagree! That's what this is all about! I'd love to hear someone explain to me how anyone could beat Superman, especially without Kryptonite!!
