Marvel Knights
Comic Book Character Battles XIII Marvel and DC (Round 2). Can you explain to me who wins?
I will be posting 10 battles periodically until the outcome is resolved. Battles may include Marvel and DC. Single Elimination.**Neutral Area, Abandoned City**.(NO ADVANCED POWERS such as King Thor or Cosmic Spiderman etc.) My friend and I have similar outcomes in each bracket. But it's nice to get different opinions. "So please validate you're opinions on who wins and why with a sentence explanation or more for each battle". {Most descriptive and logical explanation gets the points}
All combatants have access to their normal equipment and weapons:
1.) Moon Knight vs Black Knight
2.) Spider Woman vs Wasp
3.) Red Skull vs Gideon
4.) Vision vs Ultron
5.) Quasar vs Nova (Richard Rider)
6.) Darkseid vs Gladiator
7.) Doomsday vs Apocalypse
8.) Superman vs Beta Ray Bill
9.) Professor X vs Lex Luthor
10.) Luke Cage vs Warpath
1.) Moon Knight vs Black Knight
Moon Knight, I would wager. At the end of the day BK is a normal human. A human with a really bad-ass sword, yes. But still a normal human who is better than average at fighting. Moon Knight is a black op, militarily trained fighter backed by the supernatural powers of a moon god. I can see a cool back & forth combat sequence happening, but BK still has to hit MK with the sword, and it has to be a clean enough hit to kill him. I don't see it happening before the more advanced training and supernatural strength of MK overwhelms him.
2.) Spider Woman vs Wasp
Hmm. Wasp Sting versus Venom Blast. Good times. I'm going with Spider Woman on this one. Her pheromone release would have Wasp off her game from the get-go, and Wasp would already be at a disadvantage from a fighting prowess standpoint.
3.) Red Skull vs Gideon
Gideon. Red Skull would put up a nice fight, but Gideon would overtake him through attrition. Red Skull would find him matched on a power level by Gideon's 'mimic' ability, but his disadvantage would come with Gid's durability and resistance to major injury. This fight could take awhile, but Gideon would be left standing in the end.
4.) Vision vs Ultron
Ooooh. Good one. Ultron is dangerous when free to use surrounding tech or break out with his various weaponry. In direct combat he generally relies on his adamantium outer casing to protect his vital bits. Unfortunately for him adamantium isn't resistant to phasing. This could ends quickly when Vision gets a nice handful of internal circuitry and squeezes. The rub though, is that Ultron has at times demonstrated the ability to take over other computers and machines, which is what Vision is. So which happens first? Vision rips out some circuitry or Ultron shuts Vision down like a remote control? I'm going to go with Ultron here. Vision has been shown to be hesitant in many combat scenarios, thinking himself untouchable in his phased form while he assesses the situation. Ultron will be much more decisive and simply take action, shutting Vision down directly.
5.) Quasar vs Nova (Richard Rider)
Wow, Quasar. Haven't seen him in awhile. I'm going to go with Quasar just because I like old-school. Quantum bands for the win.
6.) Darkseid vs Gladiator
Darkseid. DS stands toe-to-toe with Supes. Thats strong. Gladiator is a one-dimensional, overpowered Superman clone. Not having the experience with Darkseid means that he'll do his usual thing and get inside for close combat. Once he's close, that's it. Omega beams = a dead Gladiator.
7.) Doomsday vs Apocalypse
I'll say Apocalypse for no greater reason than Doomsday is one of the lamest, most one-dimensional villains ever devised. In the end you are talking about immortal versus immortal so this fight would likely end up in one combatant or the other just giving up and leaving rather than one of them "winning". So Apocalypse. Because he has a big A on his belt and anyone who has the stones to walk around with their own initial as a gigantic belt buckle is OK by me.
8.) Superman vs Beta Ray Bill
Two heavy hitters. Similar power levels. I think I'll go with Superman here. He's been trading punches since well before Bill ever sniffed the power of Thor. His experience with this kind of knock-down drag-out combat would show up. It'd be a fight that would absolutely wreck wherever it happened to take place, but in the end Supes would be left standing. Now if you had said Thor..that's a different story. on par as far as power goes, but PLUS thousands of years of combat experience being raised in a warrior society? That'd be close. But Superman Vs Bill?..sorry Bill, Supes has ya.
9.) Professor X vs Lex Luthor
Lex has no sort of psionic shielding of any sort. Xavier shuts his mind down before he takes two steps. Quickest "fight" of the bunch.
10.) Luke Cage vs Warpath
Fun one. I'll go with Luke in this match-up. I think from a pure power standpoint, he's stronger. His durability certainly tops Warpath's. This would be a fun fight. Warpath's flight could cause some issues, but eventually cage would get a good hold and bring him in close. This would be a good brawl, but I think Luke's damage resistance would win out in the end.
