Marvel Legends Variant

Husband is looking to sell Marvel Legends/old X-Men figurines?

My husband has been a collector of Marvel action figures for many years now (he has older Marvel Legends and variants in each collection and some early 90's X-men figures. He estimates 300+) He's recently come to the conclusion that he no longer wants to continue this hobby and is now looking to sell these figures. We're sort of overwhelmed though, because, besides ebay, we have no clue as to how to get these off our hands. We'd like to sell them all at one time, or in bunches...So I guess my question is, how would be go about doing that? Do we go to local hobby shops and just ASK if they're interested? We're not looking for full price or anything. We just want some one trustworthy who will be willing to help us. We live in the Ashland, Ky (tristate) area, so If anyone has any information that would be of any assistance, it'd be very much appreciated.

I was once a Marvel Legends collector, and like your husband I have decided to part with my collection. I did try the eBay route, but I didn't go to well. It just seems that they just don't sell as often as they did a couple years ago. What I've been doing lately is selling them to members of toy message boards, like spawn.com (also try thefwoosh.com). You could make your own thread there in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum and list all of the ones you want to sell. Just read a few of the threads and you might understand how there process works. From my experience it as been working quite well, but like I said before people don't buy them as much as they used to. Good Luck!
