Original Printing
how do I get my original drawing printed? do I take photo of it? scanner not big enough.?
I want to print my original drawing of my old school. How do I get the drawing to be printed?
Digitally photograph it outdoors, but out of the direct light of the sun. Make sure you have the viewfinder/lens parallel with the picture so you don't get a badly distorted image. Make sure there are no shadows or dark areas in the image. Bracket several shots at different settings to be sure you get a good one. If you have a tripod, even better.
Then in your photo program (assuming you have one) you may need to manipulate the color (black and white pictures are hard to get just black and white) by changing exposure or brightness, or you may be able to just change it into a black and white, which would remove any yellow or pinkish that sometimes occurs with black and white. Make sure you have a sharp image and that the contrast is just right, or your print will not be as good.
Then print it. . . or absent a printer, take it somewhere to have it printed.
OR . . .
Take your drawing to a copy shop and ask for it to be enlarged on the best stock you can afford. Before I had my computer I copied all my art that way. Kinko's, Office Max or Office Depot or that kind of place can do it for you.
