Is it bad that I'm comfortable with being a Nerd?
Okay well I am not at all the most popular guy at my school. I have only a very ranged variety of friends and I have a girlfriend (who's also a nerd). I get impressive grades that will take me far, I get compliments from my teachers everyday, and I still enjoy comic books, star trek, and other things that I find interesting. I don't care what others think because I'm perfectly fine with 3 friends. Is it bad that I am comfortable being a "Nerd" or "Geek"? and what are some things that can cheer me up when it gets to me?
You can't judge yourself by the quantity of friends you have. You need to assess the quality of your friends. I have had a lot of acquaintances during my life. I am very picky about who is really a friend. I set the bar high for them as well as for myself. Although others may consider me to be their friend, this has caused me to have few of what I consider true friends during my life. Nerd, geek, etc. are labels, nothing more. If you feel love in your heart for the few that you consider friends, and they reciprocate in kind, you've got it made. You're very lucky indeed. Stop over-thinking it and enjoy the company of those you really enjoy being with.
