Pulp Novel
What is it called when the end of a movie/novel is at the beginning?
For example in the movie pulp fiction the ending of the movie is actually the beginning. I'm hoping this makes sense to some english scholar out there (my mother isn't available otherwise i'd ask her). I recall hearing a word for this years ago in college, i just can't recall the word please help me!

I Have Writer's Block.?
I have been writing a novel for the last year and a half. Unfortunately for me, however, I have reached a point of writer's block.
It is written in the style of a mid 1900 pulp novel crossed with the strange of Gonzo journalism. My characters are set up, as well as an early grasp of the theme.
What I need to know is if there is anyone who can help, based on the specs, who is somewhat gripped on the writing or creative process. I feel as though it might be as some risk to me to completely advertise the plot and specific detail's, because sometimes, yes, writing gets stolen.

There are quite a few good books out there that discuss the process of novel-writing in realistic terms. Try looking through the writing instruction shelves at Borders for books whose style "clicks" with you.
Also, a writing group can be an enormous help, if the others in the group are at approximately the same level of development as you. That is, if you are working on your first story or if you haven't ever published or even taken a class, you probably wouldn't benefit as much from a group of well-published authors as you would from a group where there are other writers who just starting out. There are a number of decent groups online, though unfortunately most are less than helpful. Look for ones with submission/critiquing requirements for membership. That can be one indication of how seriously the members take their writing.
You can check out the possibility of taking a class in creative fiction. Not only does this give you a source of new info and feedback, but often the members of a class will form a group to continue their work together after the class ends.
Another thing that writing instruction books often have is; writing excersises. These can be of enormous help in overcoming a "block". Using an exercise to explore new facets of your characters, theme, p.o.v., dialogue, etc., can open your story in a direction you didn't think it needed to go. Often those "twists" or sub-plots take you where the real story has been lurking all along. Often the right exercise can help you to let your characters be themselves, which makes for far more interesting writing (and reading!).
As for writing being stolen, most of us like to use our own ideas, thank you! I know that there are accusations of stealing that get tossed around now and then, but honestly, if Stephen King, Anne Lamott, Jk Rowling, and Beverly Cleary were all to write a novel based on the same idea, would they all write the same novel? Only you can write your story.
Of course, the best advice: GET WRITING AND DON"T STOP! Even if its only a few lines, some days. Don't stop! Stopping is death to a story.
