Pvc Statue
In our DT lessons we are making luggage tags to tell apart our luggage from others... and....?
I haven't chosen a design yet but I would like to make it a symbolic building (i.e The great wall of china ) or a symbolic icon ( i.e the statue of liberty )
We are making these luggage tags out of PVC, Polypropylene and Acrylic.
Please if you have any ideas ( doesn't have to be a symbolic building / icon , just anything that makes me unique ) ... leave them here!

Thick sheets of acrylic can be cut out,using a coping saw,or fretsaw if you have access to a powered one that would be best.Copy a picture of your chosen building,or what ever and fasten it to your plastic,cut round it,clean up the rough edges and there you are! If you have a mini drill a design could be engraved or cut into the surface for added effect.Two pieces of clear plastic could be sandwiched together to hold photos,or lettering.Look at fancy key rings in gift shops for more ideas.

pvc statue sculpting (anime or not)?
Ok I’m really tired of googling so I decided to ask it here. I need help figuring out (tutorial, book, dvd training) specifically how to make pvc figures like the ones by Shunya Yamashita Google him or examples here:

obviously I don’t want to know “HOW” to sculpt like him, just the general idea and process needed to make a figure like that, I’ll deal with the art part on my own. ANY help will be GREATLY appreciated because I been looking for a good tutorial for a long time and I can’t seam to find anything on it. Thank you so much I hope someone can help.
Without looking at them more closely (e.g. for hidden seam lines) I can't tell for sure, but I would expect that they made from molds if their are made from PVC. The original could be modeled/carved in a variety of materials, then a mold is made and the plastic injected. The surface might be painted or they could be made from different plastics (requiring a much more complicated process).
Unless you need multiples, the easiest thing probably would be to make figure like that using polymer clay and either use colored polymer clay or paint them after you are done. Polymer clay will allow you do work in detail and you don't need expensive equipment. You certainly could get something indistinguishable from this using polymer clay and the right skill level in modeling and painting.
