What does cardoid/supercardoid/hypercard… mean in microphones?
ive looked at a ton of mics and there's regular dynamic, as well as cardoid and the variants. what does cardoid mean?
The most common unidirectional microphone is A cardioid microphone is the most common unidrectional mike available. It is so named because it picks up in a heart-shaped pattern.
A hyper-cardioid is similar to the cardoid but with a tighter area of front sensitivity and a tiny lobe of rear sensitivity. A super-cardioid is like a hyper-cardioid, except there is more front pickup and less rear pickup.
These mikes are commonly used as vocal or speech microphones, since they are good at rejecting sounds from other directions.

Choosing a Suncreen Lotion and its SPF variants?
i got alot of tanning and thats bad for me . i keep getting darker day by day.
theres this sunscreen lotion called "BANANA BOAT" very famous your'll must have heard of it . i want to use it for regular everyday use . not for sports. but when im out in college , or just generally going on the bike . the problem is theres loads of banana boat products . for eg: banana boat spf 80 - 85 , then banana boat 45 - 50 and banana boat 25 - 30 . as per my knowledge higher the spf the better the protection . so which one should i go for .and why so variants of spf. i mean if i use the spf 45 - 50 one is it bad than the 80 -85 . will i get lesser protection from the sun
I remember reading that cnn reported a study on banana boat stating that it may not offer as much protection as everyone thinks.

Aveeno has spf lotions and moisturizers with high spf that may be better for your skin all around since its a moisturizer as well

Ive heard that spf of more than 30 offers more protection against uvb (rays that cause sunburns) rays but less protection from uva (rays that cause you to tan) rays
For regular everyday use i think the 25-30 would be good enough.
